SoCal Hoops 8U Select TeamDear SoCal Hoops Parents,
Congratulations!!! Your player has been selected to become an official member of the SoCal Hoops 11U Premier Team, a team composed of 12 players who will compete in competitive shootouts and games and look to become nationally ranked over the long term. At SoCal Hoops, we have 3 different team levels Select, Premier, and Elite, with the Elite team being the most competitive, comprised of elite and highly skilled players. As for all levels, playing time is never guaranteed, it is earned by on-court performance. Official Roster for SoCal Hoops 11U Premier Team:
Note that I am still finalizing the basketball schedule over the next several months and plan to participate in a local tourney in Santa Clarita this weekend April 2-3. As a Premier level team, we plan to participate in local and regional tourneys in the San Fernando Valley, Garden Grove, and Las Vegas to gain national recognition for AAU Sanctioned and Event Sponsored tourneys, paving the way for our Elite level team in the future. As you have witnessed over the last 3-4 weeks, our 11U team is really starting to gel and can compete against any legitimate 11U team. We need several more skilled players in order to form an Elite level team, a goal we will accomplish by the end of the year. Over the next several months, I want to continue our individual and team development and gain more exposure for the SoCal Hoops 11U Premier Team. I was so proud of how the boys played during the last shootouts and tourneys and want to show other teams and cities how good we are. As we continue to play in more competitive shootouts and tourneys, I want to outfit the boys with the most awesome looking gear to match their style of play. This includes new Nike shoes, special cardinal colored uniforms, shooting shirts with hoodies, sublimation printed hoodies, Nike backpacks, and even beats by Dre headphones. I guarantee the boys will love their new gear, but more importantly it is well deserved. I am asking all parents to make any donation amount to cover the gear costs, as specified below. Parents can also choose to sponsor the entire cost for a specific line item (i.e. backpacks). I am so excited about how the boys have been playing lately that I will cover the new uniform costs of $900! If we don't raise the total amount of $4,860, we will apply all funds towards the purchase of new shoes as the main priority and the other accessories as the secondary priority. We will continue to raise funds throughout the year and apply those funds toward our gear. Apparel/Accessories Number Price Total Nike Shoes 12 $125 $1,500 Special Cardinal Uniforms 12 $75 $900 Shooting Shirts with hoodie 12 $35 $420 Sublimation Printed Hoodies 12 $45 $540 Nike Elite Backpacks 12 $90 $1,080 Beats by Dre In-ear Headphones 12 $35 $420 Total $4,860 To be a part of the 11U Premier team, there are certain requirements and commitments that the players/parents must meet.
Becoming an official member of the SoCal Hoops 11U Premier Team requires a long-term commitment from players and parents. Players who join the Premier level and don't continue to meet all the requirements (both on and off the court) may be asked to play on the SELECT (lower level) team once it is officially formed. Please reply by filling out the form at the bottom of this page, informing me of your decision to ACCEPT or DECLINE the opportunity to become a member of the SoCal Hoops 11U Premier Team. Players who DECLINE the opportunity to play on the SoCal Hoops 11U Premier Team can still participate in all the practices but will play games with the SELECT team. Players who ACCEPT the offer to play on the SoCal Hoops 11U Premier Team will remain on the team thru Aug. 31, 2016 at which time we will form the new 12U Elite Team and have open tryouts. Players who are on the Premier Team are not guaranteed spots on the Elite level team, as there will be strict requirements to make the Elite team. Again, congratulations on being invited to participate on the SoCal Hoops 11U Premier Team. We have a long road ahead of us but I am proud of how the boys have been playing recently and excited about the opportunities and challenges that lies ahead. Please let me know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns. Thanks, Coach Randy
