SoCal Hoops Basketball Academy Receives Official Letter of Determination for 501c3 Status

PORTER RANCH, Calif., Aug. 18, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SoCal Hoops Basketball Academy - A Return to the FUNDAMENTALS of the Game, today announced that the organization received full IRS tax exemption under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions made to the organization are deductible under section 170 of code. The organization is also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the code.

"Many organizations claim to be non-profit but we actually received our determination letter from the IRS. We submitted our application and quickly received approval due to overall mission which is to provide an opportunity for youths in our community to to play basketball and use it as a platform for higher education. We've already received donation inquiries from several local businesses and will utilize the grants and donations to expand our organizational needs, training services, and scholarship opportunities."
